- Preheat the oven to Gas mark 7, 220°C for 10-15 minutes.
- Place the greaseproof paper onto a baking tray. Sieve together the flour and pinch of salt into a mixing bowl.
- Stir in the yeast and sugar.
- Add the warm water, and mix into a dough.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 4 and shape into rolls.
- Place the 4 rolls onto the baking tray.
- Cover the dough with cling film and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes to allow it to rest and double in size.
- Brush the tops of the bread rolls with milk or beaten egg.
- Then sprinkle on sesame seeds, poppy seeds, grated cheese or diced onion to decorate the rolls.
- Bake in the oven for 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove the rolls from the oven and allow to cool.
